The Lead Partner University
The lead partner, the University of Gloucestershire (UOG), has a well-established employer engagement and curricula development expertise delivered through the University’s Teaching & Learning Strategy. The students’ learning is business-informed and relevant to the modern work environment. UOG staff have experience in the design and implementation of the Growth Hub model which has been successfully working together with the Business School for over two years. They have developed strong links with the local and regional business and not-for-profit enterprise community, including SMEs and larger organisations.
The EU Partner Universities
The EU partners have been working together on separate research and teaching activities over the last five years and during this time developed an understanding of each other’s activities and expertise as well as frequent formal and informal communication. This level of familiarity us a particular strength of the consortium supporting effective project implementation.
The three EU partners are the Technological University Dublin (TUD, Ireland), Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM, Germany) and University of Innsbruck (Austria) have worked with UOG for a number of years with different academic activities and readily complement the project. FHM manages the taught UOG DBA delivery in a number of centres in Germany, and TUD and UOG have a long standing collaborative research link.
FHM has experience of several multiple partner projects aimed at implementing new ways to enhance and foster the employability of graduates equipped with entrepreneurial knowledge and experiences. It has experience in working with businesses which range in sizes from SME to larger enterprises in commercial, social and not-for-profit organisations.
TUD is known for excellence and innovation in learning, research engaging with enterprise and develops informed career-ready graduate managers. It has experience in the deployment and use of the HEInnovate Entrepreneurial diagnostic tool as part of a higher education institution organisational redesign project involving a number of higher education institutions in Ireland. The tool was developed with EC funding relating to entrepreneurial practices in over 600 organisations across a wide range of countries.
The University of Innsbruck has expertise in enterprise incubation. UKIB has experience of working with several multiple partner projects with organisations including SMEs and has a strong track record of generating graduate entrepreneurs.
The Partner Universities in Indonesia
Partner universities in Indonesia have been approached as a range of higher education institutions who have identified the need for a coherent or integrated approach to capacity building. They do have some entrepreneurship education and business support and capability.
President University (Jakarta) is a multicultural and vibrant English-speaking university in Indonesia with a focus on innovation.
Universitas Padjadjaran (UnPAD, Bandung) have an embryonic ‘Centre for Incubator Business’ with financial and technical services.
Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES, Semarang) is a state university with ambition to promote the SME sector.
Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII, Yogyakarta) focuses on supporting and developing social enterprise economy.
Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD, Yogyakarta) work with local, regional, national and transnational networks to develop a medium-term business development strategy and operational programme in view on informing public policy.
Universitas Brawijaya (Malang) have experience of working with SMEs, and entrepreneurship training and education.
STIE Malangkucecwara (Malang) provide training particularly on management, networking, fund channelling, accounting, auditing and business issues related to the empowerment of existing and potential entrepreneurs.
