President University is a young, multicultural, and vibrant English-speaking university in Indonesia built with the specific purpose of creating future leaders in their respective fields through our focus on innovation and practical knowledge (i.e. university-industry collaboration).

The campus is strategically located at the heart of Jababeka Industrial Estate, one of the largest integrated industrial areas in the region which is home to around 2,000 multinational companies (including, amongst others, Unilever, Mattel, Samsung and L’oreal). The university’s growing industry network provides access for several short and long-term internship/on-the-job training opportunities for students.

President University focuses on establishing more collaborations with companies and start-ups. In addition to internships, these also provide opportunities for students to get involved in real-life projects. An example of this is a current artificial intelligence project in collaboration with Bank Central Asia (BCA). The SetsailBizAccel incubator provides facilities and professional support for these activities and is currently expanding its scope to accommodate all dimensions of the GITA approach.

Within Indonesia, President University has a strong relationship with a number of government bodies, especially with the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti) and the Coordinating Body of Private Higher Education Institutions Region 4 (Kopertis Wilayah 4) in West Java. This strong connection is important to support institutional collaborations and various project implementations that the University has.

President University also has an ongoing partnership with the Ministry of National Development Planning (Kementerian PPN/Bappenas) through a mutual collaboration in developing 100 cities in Indonesia alongside Jababeka Industrial Estate which is the university’s “patron”. President University has delivered various workshops to train government’s officers in city planning, mainly in the form of “train the trainer” and “city planning workshop” events.

At an international level, President University focuses on establishing more partnerships with universities and government bodies. The University collaborates with more than 40 universities from 17 countries, including the UK, The Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, and Hungary. The university-to-university collaboration involves student and faculty exchanges, short courses, joint research, as well as dual awards. Beside establishing collaborations with universities, President University has also established collaborations with several foreign government bodies, including the governments of People’s Republic of China, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Taiwan.
