Terms of Reference

The Advisory Group brings together independent experts from Indonesia and the EU drawn from businesses (large and SMEs), social enterprises from various sectors and not-for-profit organisations such as funding bodies, charities and public sector organisations. Meeting virtually, the Advisory Group advises the Steering Group at key milestones during the project.

Agung Bezharie Hadinegoro, Indonesia

Mr. Agung is the Co-founder and CEO of warungpintar.com, a social enterprise that transform traditional kiosk into tech-based kiosk. Previously, Mr. Agung was a Senior Vice President at East Venture, a leading Venture Capital with 143 portfolio investments in Startup within 6 countries including Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and United States.

Dan Bridges, UK

Dan has extensive experience of working within multiple business types, including military corporate, SME, and start-up businesses developing technical and management expertise.  He has a passion for all things technology related and for continual learning that led him to embarking on an MBA with the University of Gloucestershire that enhanced his personal network, meeting new people from many other local businesses.  Dan now runs all customer facing services for a local technology business, responsible for approximately 60% of the business headcount.  He is actively involved with the wider Gloucestershire business community through the Growth Hub and the Gloucestershire LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership), which provides an open forum for discussion regarding best practice, whilst facilitating opportunities to learn new skills.

Dr Henning Große, Germany

Dr. Henning Große founded in 1999 his own construction business after finishing his civil engineering and industrial engineering degree. He researched the German construction drawing on his extensive experience as an entrepreneur in this area. He shares his research insights as lecturer with the Beuth University of applied Sciences in Berlin and as PhD supervisor with the University of Gloucestershire. Besides he voluntarily acts as executive of the Kinderkunstmagistrale – a non-profit organisation which provides arts trainings to school children in Berlin.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Djoko Santoso, M.Sc., Indonesia

Prof. Djoko Santoso is an Advisor for Rectorate at President University, Professor at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Former General Director of Higher Education – Ministry of Education (DIKTI), Former Rector (President/vice-chancellor) of Institut Teknologi Bandung and Universitas Indonesia.

Dr. Iman Permana, Indonesia

Kieran O’Connell, Ireland 

Kieran is a senior manager in the DIT Hothouse enterprise facility. Kieran has extensive commercial experience, having worked in senior positions at Unilever in the UK, Roche Pharmaceutical Company and the British sugar company, Tate and Lyle. He has also worked extensively in fast-moving consumer goods for Kepak Convenience Foods, Dawn Farms Foods and VION Food Group and as a consultant for award-winning Centra stores and Supervalu. He has held a number of leadership positions in industry, as Head of the Commercial Function, Head of Food Quality and Head of New Product Development in the food ingredient, retail and food service channels.

Peter Buchberger, Austria

Since July 2008 Peter Buchberger is Technology Transfer Manager and Project Developer in the Transfer Office of the University of Innsbruck. His main mission is the exploitation of University IP and the establishment and development of co-operations between University and innovative companies, whereby consultancy concerning IPR and the acquisition of public funding belong to Peter´s main activities.

Reza Widyaprastha, Indonesia

Mr. Reza Widyaprastha is the HR Director of PT. Jababeka Tbk. PT Jababeka Tbk is the first publicly listed industrial estate developer in Indonesia, being listed on the Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchange as IDX: KIJA in 1994. Mr. Reza has 23 years’ experience on HRD area, including 8 years on top position of HRD and 15 years on managerial position.

Prof. Dr. habil. Richard Merk, Germany

Prof. Dr. habil. Richard Merk is founder and CEO of Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) – a not-for-profit institution. He also serves as Pro-Rector for business and administrative affairs at FHM. At the same time, he is President of WSIE – University of European Integration in Poland. Mr. Merk serves as a board member of Stiftung Bildung und Handwerk, Paderborn, (Foundation for Education and Handcraft), which is the sponsoring foundation of FHM. Besides, he is a member of the Management Board of VPH, the Association of Private Universities in Germany. Prior to his academic life he worked in the educational sector of the Chamber of Commerce in Bielefeld. His research centers on entrepreneurship and start-up management.
