Work Package Description

This part of the project involves a review of current programmes of study to assess in how far these encourage the development of entrepreneurial capacity building within students and graduates. This will culminate in the development of a comprehensive framework for embedding an interactive and progressive set of Entrepreneurial Learning Outcomes (ELOs) into programme curricula and career development planning.

Outputs

ELO workshops
A series of workshops was delivered to demonstrate how entrepreneurial learning outcomes can be embedded into undergraduate curricula. Read more here.
ELOs for each undergraduate level, ELO methodological toolkit and career planning toolkit
A set of ELOs for each Levels 4, 5 and 6 were developed. The basis of their articulation was the identification of three areas of competence specific to entrepreneurship education including 1) initiative taking, 2) utilisation of resources and 3) generation of ideas and opportunities. A total of 15 specific competences in each area were identified and developed into learning outcome descriptions. The pedagogic rationale is explained in this paper published by members of the project consortium. The ELOs were used to inform an ELO methodological and career planning toolkit utilised by instructors to design their teaching, learning and assessment strategies. For more information and resources, please refer to the GITA Learning Network Portal.
ELO audit tool
An ELO audit tool was developed that mapped each course learning outcome with the 15 specific competences in the three areas of 1) initiative taking, 2) utilisation of resources and 3) generation of ideas and opportunities. This tool was generic and thus designed to enable an assessment of entrepreneurship education across different academic disciplines. For more information and resources, please refer to the GITA Learning Network Portal.
ELO curricula assessment audit reports and preparation and implementation of ELO Action Plans
An ELO action plan was established for each Indonesian project partner to review curricula, identify shortcomings and make necessary revisions. Despite the significant disruption caused by the Covid19 pandemic, 61 out of a total of 261 Study Programmes (26%) have been mapped to date with a roll out programme continuing post project. The action plans have informed the student learning experience and progression through self-assessment and review, and also successfully fed into Work Package 2.4 in developing content in the student and enterprise incubation activity.
